Side view of gate Lodge
Although the building is small this declared monument is a good example of the use of neo renaissance design during the 1900s. Not many buildings in Hong Kong from this period survive and it is only by chance that this one was preserved when the main building, the Governors Mountain Lodge, was demolished. You will pass it as you enter into the Victoria Peak Garden on your way to the viewing area at the highest point.
