Victoria Peak Gardens With It’s Ornate Gazebos and Manicured Lawns
Located at the top of Mount Austin Road the peak gardens are a wonderful place for children and families to enjoy the outdoors and are only a 15 to 20 minute walk up Mount Austin Road or a 7 minute ride on the Peak Tram from Central (followed by a 10 minute walk down to the gardens). Victoria Peak Gardens were last renovated in 2010 and are now a collection of well kept lawns connected by stone steps.
Presented with Victorian style gazebos that provide much welcomed shelter from the sun, numerous picnic benches, sundials and even a creek this is a wonderful place for both locals and tourists to enjoy some fresh air and relaxation time.
If you are planning to visit the peak gardens and the peak then it’s best to allow yourself plenty of time to enjoy this feature-rich attraction in Hong Kong, which could easily take up as long as an entire day depending on how much you want to see. One popular choice is to head for the peak mid-late afternoon so that you can see the awe-inspiring views of Victoria Harbour both before and after the sun goes down.
The peak gardens are only a 10 minute walk from Peak Tower and The Peak Galleria so once you have finished relaxing in Victoria Peak Gardens you can simply walk to the peak to take in the views over the city.
