Mount Austin Playground is one of Hong Kong’s few parks
The diverse collection of fauna and flora in Mount Austin Playground is just one reason to spend some time enjoying this wonderful public park, which is on the way to the to the viewing deck near Victoria Peak Gardens.
While you are spending some time in Hong Kong a visit to the peak is an absolute must. The peak is so high at 552m (1811 feet) it is Hong Kong’s highest viewpoint and so offers fabulous views over Hong Kong and the world famous Victoria Harbour both day and at night. On a clear day you can even see the surrounding islands.
Mount Austin Playground is just a 10 minute walk from Victoria Peak Gardens and is one of only a few open green spaces in Hong Kong where you can go for a picnic and the kids can enjoy the play area, which includes a climbing frame, slides and a safety mat.
The playground also has two free drinking fountains and a coffee shop nearby too but most families purchase some food and drinks in a nearby supermarket and then come to Mount Austin Playground to have a outdoor picnic and enjoy this public space.
